FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
+ CAN I USE CONCORDE AS A LOGO?
You may not use Concorde font as the sole entity of your logo unaltered. If you wish to utilize this font in your wordmark, it must become altered from it’s original state, or utilize it in conjuction with other assets.
+ CAN I TRADEMARK MY LOGO WITH A FONT?
You may use a font as part of your logo, as long as the original asset is (1) modified and (2) not the dominant element of the logo. However, you must disclaim the asset if registering for Trademark protection, and you may not enforce any rights on the font itself.
+ CAN MULTIPLE MEMBERS OF MY TEAM USE A DESKTOP FONT?
Yes, but make sure you purchase the correct quantity of Desktop Licenses at checkout. Each Desktop License is good for one user.
+ HOW CAN I SAFELY USE A FONT UNDER A WEBFONT LICENSE?
To use the Licensed webfont, target the @font-face selector in your CSS files. Also make sure to include all Copyright and legal information files in your font’s download folder.
+ CAN I USE A LICENSED FONT FOR CLIENT WORK?
Yes. This is one of the special sublicensing exceptions. You can sublicense the asset to a client, when you’re transferring them a completed End Use.
+ CAN I USE A LICENSED FONT TO DESIGN PAID ADS?
With a Desktop license, yes. The Licensee can apply the font in unlimited physical advertisements for local, national, and global markets. If you are designing these ads on behalf of a third party, a special sublicensing exception applies
+ DESKTOP LICENSE
The licensed font can appear in unlimited commercial and personal projects including, but not limited to, physical end products, social media, broadcast, packaging, and paid ads. 1 Desktop License is allowed for 1 user.
+ MOBILE-APP LICENSE
This license permits use of the Licensed Asset in a single mobile app, desktop app, or video game title owned or controlled by Licensee.
+ E-PUBLICATION LICENSE
This license permits use of the font in the number of e-books or other e-publication titles selected at checkout, owned or controlled by Licensee for an unlimited number of sales or distribution.
+ WEBFONT LICENSE (SOLID VARIATION)
The licensed font can appear in multiple websites owned or controlled by the Licensee. Pageview limit agreed upon at checkout.
DO’S AND DONT’S
– Use the Licensed Font for personal and commercial purposes, under the allowances of each license
– Sell an unlimited amount of items for the number of projects permitted in each license (e.g. unlimited sales of one ebook title for the E-pub License)
– Sublicense the font in three situations only:
to a third party that manufactures, markets, or distributes completed End Uses on your behalf,
to a subcontractor that provides services to you,
to a client, when you’re transferring them a completed End Use
– Resell or Sub-License the Licensed Asset as in a way that is directly competitive with the original Licensed Asset.
– Resell any modification of the asset on its own.
– Make the asset public or share the asset in any way.
