WHAT IS GHEE:
Ghee is clarified butter. Milk fat is heated to 115°C or 240°F, causing the milk to solidify and the water to evaporate, leaving only the clear ghee remaining.

We use traditional Indian slow cooking batch methods to make our ghee locally here in New Zealand. Milkio Cultured Grass-Fed Cow Ghee is made from the milk obtained from ethically and sustainably raised cows. New Zealand has the perfect environment for cattle to graze year-round on open pastures. Due to our optimal climate, soils, space, abundant water and being free from many diseases and pests we have a natural advantage. HOW TO USE MILKIO CULTURED GRASS-FED GHEE:
Milkio Cultured Grass-Fed Cow Ghee has a high smoke point, meaning that Milkio ghee will not start to smoke unless heated above 485° preventing the release of chemicals and allowing your food to keep all its flavours. Just add our ghee into your roasts, soups, bread, veggies, BBQs, sauces/dressings or morning coffee.
